About This Experience

You probably know what tea tastes like. But do you know what it sounds like?

Before picking and crafting your own Longjing Tea, begin with a hike through mountain paths once traversed by tea merchants to sell their harvest. Legend has it that the soft clink of their Biandan echoed through the hills, carrying the sound of tea long before its flavor ever reached the cup.

Common Questions

This small-group local tour takes place around the origin of the most famous Chinese green tea — Longjing (Dragon Well) Village. During the Qing Dynasty, the Qianlong Emperor visited this area multiple times, walking through the tea fields, observing the craft, and leaving behind poems that praised both the land and the labor behind each leaf. His presence transformed Longjing from a regional specialty into one of China's most revered teas. Today, the village remains rooted in that legacy, where the hills, the tea fields, and the local rhythms of cultivation continue to reflect a tradition shaped by history.
